Crucible Coffee Roasters: Cozy Brews & Warm Atmosphere in Staunton, VA

We got just a hot coffee nothing special. I typically drink my coffee black but I had to use cream and sugar because it was bitter. My wife is usually pretty happy with most coffees she gets but thought it was just alright. The staff were nice. The main selling point for us was the atmosphere. Nice outside sitting. Inside was nice as well. Parking was great.

Great spot for coffee! Traveling from PA to Gatlinburg, TN. This spot was great to hit on the way since it’s just a minute off of 81. The baristas were knowledgeable and very friendly and the shop was really “street/punk” looking. Could use some plants to make it a little warmer in there since it’s a bit of a “colder” atmosphere. I got the orange vanilla seasonal latte with whole milk and it was so good! I love the espresso they use and the flavoring wasn’t overpowering at all. Would definitely stop through again if I’m nearby!

A quiet, cozy, and relaxed coffee shop with its own roaster. The black coffee that I got was super strong, and match was unsweetened, which I much appreciated. There are chairs and benches inside and outside. The stream and stone bridges were beautiful!

What a wonderful and cute coffee house. The coffee is bagged right there. There is outdoor seating. It is a very picturesque setting outside with a railroad bridge and a stream for the background. The coffee tasted very good and the staff, Kaylee, was very nice. I always try to hit up local shops versus corporate coffee houses if I can.

I recently discovered Crucible Coffee when I visited Virginia, and it was an absolute delight! The aesthetic is stunning, with cozy seating and beautiful decor that creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxation or catching up with friends. The coffee was top-notch—rich and flavorful, expertly brewed to perfection. I tried their signature latte, and it was a masterpiece both in taste and presentation. The baristas were knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, offering great recommendations.

Im an espresso guy, that is all I drink, I have an espresso machine at home, I buy Intelligentsia black cat. As a truck driver I get to taste espresso and coffee all over the country. Crucible offers great, aromatic espresso blend. I got one to go as well. They have a patio, very friendly staff, it is a perfect place to sip a coffee and read a book.

Such a nice place to grab a morning coffee and a baked treat. I’d love to return in the warmer months. They offer abundant outdoor seating. My cappuccino with oat milk was really nice, smooth, well prepared. Alongside a slice of tasty lemon poppyseed cake, I was well supplied. The star of the show was the young women staffing the store that day. So cheerful, friendly, attentive, patient.
